Kotu sits a short hop north of Kololi. Its wide beach is divided by the Kotu Stream, a mangrove-lined creek that draws birdwatchers, and many hotels are set close to the sand.
Evenings are quieter than on the Senegambia strip, and Kololi's restaurants are a short taxi ride away.
