Banjul International Airport (BJL) is inland near Yundum. The resort areas of Kololi, Kotu and Bakau lie to the north-west on the coast, and Banjul city is further along the same road network on its island.
Three ways to get to your hotel
Hotel pickup
The simplest option, especially on a first visit or a late flight. Ask for the price when you book and whether it's per car or per person.
A pre-booked private transfer
Useful if your accommodation doesn't offer pickups. Confirm the meeting point, what happens if your flight is delayed, and a contact number that works from abroad.
Tourist taxi
Available outside arrivals. Agree the fare before you get in, and have your hotel's name and area ready.
Make the first hour easier
- Send your flight number to whoever is collecting you.
- Have your accommodation's address saved offline.
- Install a travel eSIM before departure so you can message your driver.
- Have a little cash, but don't change more at the airport than you need that day.
